COVALENCE SAN FRANCISCO

Meet the Team

  • Alexa Bernard

    CO-DIRECTOR OF CHAPTER PROGRAM

Alexa Bernard is a freshman at Lowell High School in San Francisco. She was an Executive Member of Covalence San Francisco where she helped by creating art to post on social media as well as helping recruit members and assist in running beach cleanups. This summer she volunteered at the San Francisco Public Library where she helped with assembling stem kits, log young readers into the library’s database, and a multitude of other tasks. In her free time, Alexa enjoys playing volleyball, baking, and oil painting.

  • Vivienne Wan

    CO-DIRECTOR OF CHAPTER PROGRAM

Vivienne Wan is a ninth grader in San Francisco. Vivienne was previously an Executive Member of Covalence SF, managing data and volunteer information and attending weekly beach cleanups. In addition, she co-created two films for the Redford Center Stories contest; one centered around the idea of the ultimate eco-friendly house and the other was about a bingo board activity that encouraged action against climate change at her school. In her free time, Vivienne enjoys playing sports, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.

Vision

Covalence San Francisco envisions a world with a healthy, thriving environment that constantly continues to improve. We look forward to an Earth led by people who are passionate about keeping our environment safe, and we believe that starts with chapters like CSF.

Mission

Covalence San Francisco is dedicated to action-oriented environmental preservation and care in San Francisco, CA and the surrounding Bay Area. Our mission is to spread awareness about the environment, encourage eco-friendly lifestyles, and build connections with others through events and activities.

Our Story

Covalence started out as a small teen volunteer group in San Francisco. Then it expanded to an international organization as Covalence Global, with members spanning 5 continents. With such a big platform, we want to continue the journey where it all started and gather our community in the Bay Area to take action against environmental issues.
